Intimations of Mortality

A mid-life crisis in a nutshell: You realize that you've only got so many years left, and you need to start planning your finances for the future. How many years left? When do I want to retire? How long will it take to buy a house? Where do I see myself in 5 years? 10? 15? 20? This makes you think about when you will die, and that you will die. You get sad. Despair.

Planning for life is also planning for death.
